BC850 Ethernet to Fibre Converter Card 1000BaseT

The BC850 is a copper twisted pair to fibre optic media converter for 1000 Mbps Ethernet data. It provides two channels (full duplex) of 1000 Base-FX data transmission with 1000 Mbps half/full duplex auto-negotiation on multimode or singlemode fibre.
Data isolation transformers are provided for the twisted pair input and output.

All Bluebell cards are designed to retain maximum integrity of the signal path offering excellent jitter free optical transport. Jumbo frame and packet support can be enabled.

The BC850 is available in multimode and singlemode variants to suit any fibre application.
Versions can be selected which operate over two fibres or a single fibre.

The BC850 occupies a single slot in the BC100-3RU 19" rack-mounting frame which can hold up to 15 single slot cards. The compact BC160 1RU is available for up to six cards. Signal and card monitoring is achieved through SNMP monitoring in the BM101 network card.
Alternatively GP-Output alarms can be triggered via the BM100 module.

For stand alone applications the BC850 can be housed in an individual rugged enclosure.
