BC Series Modular Fibre Optic Interface System - TDM-300TA Mux/Demux Optical Link - HD-SDI, SD-SDI, Audio, Datapdf

The TDM-300TA is a card for the Time Division Multiplexing of multiple signals onto one singemode fibre. Four serial digital video signals (including one HD-SDI signal), eight line level analogue audio and RS232/422 data can be electrically multiplexed before optical transmission. Embedded audio or other data embedded within the ancillary data space is passed transparently.

The TDM-300 links are ideal for tie-lines and Outside Broadcast applications and are particularly suited to the PROBE portable fibre optic enclosures.

An electrical output from the mux card also allows the TDM signal to be routed through standard 3G-SDI routing and distribution networks within a broadcast facility.
By combining multiple or bidirectional TDM-300 links with standard BC Series cards complex optical networks can be realized in the most cost effective and compact footprint.

The TDM-300TA occupies a double slot in the BC100-3RU 19" rack-mounting frame allowing multiple channels of multiplexed video (e.g. 7 x HD-SDI, 21 x SD-SDI, 56 x audio and 28 x data signals) to be transmitted in a single 3RU frame. Signal and card monitoring is achieved through SNMP monitoring in the BM101 network card. Alternatively GP-Output alarms can be triggered via the BM100 module.

CWDM variants are available allowing up to 16 TDM links on one single fibre.
For stand alone applications the TDM-300TA can be housed in an individual BC120 enclosure.
