Bluebell provides fibre solutions to SIVision
Bluebell has supplied a large number of Shack fibre optic links via their German distributor Teracue AG to leading German Outside Broadcaster, SIVision.
The units are deployed in the main SIVision 24 camera, 40 ton, double side extending triple axle OB van.
The SHACK System is designed to allow their HD-SDI broadcast cameras fitted with Standard SMPTE 304M hybrid connectors to be deployed using ordinary singlemode optical fibre. The link between camera and CCU can now be made direct via tactical fibre and releases SIVision from deploying long lengths of bulky hybrid cable.
The SHACK is also perfect for Stadiums, Arenas and Concert Halls that have pre-installed fibre networks. Operators arriving at the venue can simply plug into the network for direct access to the truck or other remote facilities. The mating with the duplex singlemode fibre is done via standard SC/PC connectors.
Both ends of this system are enclosed in a compact, lightweight, ruggedised aluminium connector, ideally suited to Outside Broadcast and Fly Away applications where the camera can be powered locally.
The units were supplied by local partner Teracue AG who have been specialists in professional products and systems for the German broadcast, IPTV and video networking market for more than 15 years.
Bluebell Opticom designs, manufactures and distributes high quality fibre optic transmission equipment for the broadcast, telecommunications and satellite industries.
SIVision provides professional broadcasting, recording and live transmission through the newest state of the art HD OB vans and flexible, modular HD flyway flight case systems.
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences recently awarded SIVision with one of the 30th Annual Sports Emmy® Awards for their work with the Red Bull Air Race World Series TV Production.
